On the afternoon of 18 April 2024, Prof. Christian Kahl, Associate Professor at BJTU SEM, spearheaded and led a transformative field trip to Oriental Yuhong Mortar & Powder Technology Group Co., Ltd., with invaluable support from Prof. Liu Yingqi, Department Head of Business Administration at BJTU SEM, and Ms. Gu Lin, International Student Counsellor in the Doctoral Class of Business Administration at the Ministry of Commerce.

 This excursion, orchestrated with precision and purpose, aimed to provide an immersive understanding of local and global business strategies within the realm of innovative construction materials.

An hour-long Q&A session with Ms. Merry Wang, Vice President of Oriental Yuhong Holding Group and Chairwoman of Mortar & Powder Technology Group, provided invaluable insights into the strategic vision and operational intricacies of the company.

Through interactive sessions and guided tours of state-of-the-art facilities, the students gained invaluable insights into the intricate processes underpinning the production, distribution, and application of cutting-edge construction materials. 

"This field trip provided us with a unique platform to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application," remarked one of the visiting PhD scholars.
