讲座内容：

Clean energy technologies represent a promising solution to the global warming challenge. Many clean energy technologies, however, depend on some rare materials and concerns have been raised recently. This talk explores modeling techniques that can be used to understand how materials scarcity and competition from alternative uses affects the potential for widespread deployment of renewable electricity generation in the long run, in light of related technology and policy uncertainties. Indium is taken as the example and some observations from computable partial equilibrium model and system dynamics simulation are discussed.

主讲人简介：

赵浮副教授现任职于普渡大学机械工程学院环境与生态工程系，担任美国机械工程师协会工程设计分会制造设计与生命周期技术委员会副主席，其研究方向为可持续设计与制造，尤其是概念设计、制造过程表征、生产计划、能源有效规划、以及产品生命末期管理、生命周期发展分析法在可持续性评估方面的应用以及再生能源系统的相关政策规划等领域的研究。赵浮教授已在相关领域期刊和会议发表了100多篇文章，并获得了第43届SME North American Manufacturing Research Conference的优秀论文奖，其研究得到了美国国家科学基金会、美国能源部、美国环境保护署和工业界的支持。
